Meditation

It
is widely accepted that spending time each day in a
quiet, relaxed state of being can benefit us in many
ways. For ailments such as high blood pressure, insomnia,
or general stress, medical doctors recognize meditation
as a way to reduce the symptoms related to these
complicated syndromes. Generating momentum in this area
can be very difficult though, as daily stressors pull us
away from this needed quiet time.
My
expertise in this area can make the creation of a daily
meditation practice a reality. One key is not to expect
huge, earth-shattering results right away. Much of the
benefits of meditation come from slowly building momentum
in the practice and believing in yourself. When each
person is ready, they will begin having the
"wonderful" experiences that mystics have
written about for ages. In the beginning though, there is
fun in creating a practice and doing something new and
different. The frusterations of the never quieting mind
is not a focus. The mind will do its thing ad infinitum.
The practice that is taught here is to become the
observer of the mind. To observe and eventually separate
what is yours, and who you are.
Meditation
is not a religious practice for most, it is a spiritual
one. More and more people though, are turning to
meditation as a concrete way to help their physical
health. I offer meditation programs that are for
either the spiritually inclined or the total beginner who
needs to overcome a very real physical, emotional, or
mental problem.
