Holistic Fitness
Fitness that is truly
holistic takes into account, not just the physical body,
but the mind, emotions and spirit as well. The goal
of this website, and the treatments I offer in private
practice, are to offer information and holistic fitness
sessions which do just this. The physical
body is nourished by massage, herbal remedies and
nutrition. Acupuncture, communication and
meditation feed the emotions, mind, and spirit. Of
course they all overlap in their goals and the benefits
of each are many, but when combined and used together,
the power of holistic fitness sessions is
multiplied.
Enlightened Medicine is
health from a larger perspective. It views all
parts of the mind and body as being connected.
Within this vision we can not take our thoughts out of
context from the body, they effect the body completely.
Likewise, emotions such as fear, anxiety, or peace
chemically and physically change the body. What we
eat obviously affects us physically, but foods also
change us emotionally and alter thoughts we are thinking
while digesting. Finally, the feelings of love,
peace, joy, and oneness that we experience from Spirtual
or Religious beliefs nurture the totality of our being
and keep us healthy in many ways now provable by science.
Our energy flows when we
feel love and calm, energy gets stuck and does not
flow when fear, anger, or stress dominates.
We can not avoid all of the stresses which lead to
congestion of energy and the beginning of
dis-eases, but we can use methods of clearing away
energy blocks to promote good health and prevent dis-ease
from taking root. This is what holistic fitness and
Traditional Chinese Medicine is all about. Keeping
you in the flow of health. Opening your
mind-body-spirit up to this flow, so that you can feel it
yourself and be responsible for your own radiant
health. In the end, Enlightened Medicine can only
give you the keys, it is up to you to open and walk
through the door.
